Granite Theme

(Posted 1 year ago) RonTek

Hey guys,

Quick update as I just got Granite theme as default site wide style for now, probably will have it as a session setting next while more member profile options are being worked on. I'm sure there are still some few kinks that needs to be fixed with this theme, so feel free to post in case you encounter these display or theme issues.

cheers.

Wooo! Looking good Ron.

Things needing your attention.

  • syntax highlighting single-line comments are not colored, multi-line (Rem) comments too
  • Edit reply text and Link symbol are white, should be yellow
  • Submit reply button has white text, I think blue background for this
  • http links are white, should be yellow

Yeaa! hey thanks Mark Ok just did an update with those issues, as for the syntax hilighting comments, I may need to check on those next time as it has a separate styling and structure to deal with.

Thanks for pointing these out.

Much better Ron, I think you missed one though!

The Submit button when you edit a post, I see you're going for white text on grey with a yellow edge, nice!

Also glad you changed the reply titles to dark grey.

Thanks! I thought I'd mixed it up a bit and came up with those. Yes, that edit reply button went under the radar, anyway just got it fixed.

cheers.

Visited links are now in different yellow shade for granite theme so you can distinguish between read and new/unread posts, just like how it is supposed to be.

In addition, I will be making some fixes so that it refreshes the topic links each time there's a new reply or comment with a direct link to the latest comment.

Good work Ron.

Well top of my wishlist is the words splitting on line wrap bug!

(Posted 1 year ago)

Thanks Mark! I see and I was not aware of that.. can you please post a link/topic showing that wrapping bug?

I checked this out and it only happens in Firefox and IE, it works fine in Safari and Chrome.

Same behavior on other platforms. Basically, it looks like this:

Assuming the line wrap happens here ->

the words get cut off when they've reach

ed the end of whatever width the line is s

et at.

Ah I see, found it and just applied the fix. Thanks for pointing this out! :D
