im trying to get a inputtext/botton working for a simple login system but that i want to skin it for custom game ui instead of looking like regular os GUI, for game UI. i've thought about importing a blitz3d user module for this but they're not multiplatform and i am a linux and windows user.

somebody told me maxgui can be skinnable but that it does not seem immediately obvious how to accomplish that and that maxgui isnt very simple but it has all the gadgets i wish for like hover item tooltips for an item description.

Afaik MaxGUI uses the old MFC so skinning would be in a hackish way which are 3rd party tools, but visual studio based (windows only).

So it seems this would be leaning towards WxWidgets (wx.mod).
