Impressive, really cool !!!
Any chance to have it also in Blitz3D ( or Blast3D ) ?
Hey semar, you can already do this with Blitz3D using FastLibs or AShadow library with a similar result.
Blast3D's roadmap or future versions will support shaders so possibly yes or compatible.
btw, screenshot is sample only and taken from other demos/engines.
Hi Ron,
this looks interesting, well done.
So are you still using Openb3d as the rendering engine for BlitzX?
And is this in relation to your use of Openb3d for BlitzX or is it specifically with Blitzmax Openb3d?
So would all we have to do is port this piglet environment bumpmap code and we'd have the basis for a water shader?

To be clear.. I haven't done anything yet, that's why this is up for bounty.
As I have mentioned, this is a screenshot from another framework engine and non Blitz. The piglet environment bumpmap is another way but yes similar in technicality as any other commonly used shaders.
So are you still using Openb3d as the rendering engine for BlitzX?
BlitzX is now discontinued, but yes a high possibility that future version Blast3D will also use OpenB3D as the default renderer.
OK, well I pledge $75 for this bounty then.
What language will Blast3d use, will it be identical to Blitz3d?
Cheers Mark, I have updated the post with your pledge.

Yes, similar and ideally or down the line exactly as Blitz3D.
By the way, it would be great if Blast3D would accept also SpriteCandy and ParticleCandy commands, as Blitz3D does.
@semar
Sprite and ParticleCandy are separate component and features on their own, but will consider having a basic particle and sprite system.
